The Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Sri Lanka & Kandy

Land at the airport in Colombo. Your dedicated private van and driver will meet your group at the arrivals gate. Hop into the air-conditioned van and head straight into the fresh foothills of Kandy.
Check into your hotel. Once refreshed, take a relaxed walk around the serene Kandy Lake and visit the sacred, beautifully lit Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Enjoy a quiet welcome dinner with a view of the city lights to ease into your vacation.

Day 02

The World's Most Beautiful Train Ride (Kandy to Ella)

Enjoy a slow breakfast, then head to the Kandy railway station to board the legendary Blue Train to Ella in reserved 1st or 2nd class seats.
Pop open the large carriage windows, play music, share local fresh fruits, and watch the misty green tea plantations and cascading waterfalls roll past.
Arrive in the lively mountain town of Ella. Head straight to the famous cafes for incredible cocktails, wood-fired pizzas, and a great social atmosphere.

Day 03

Jungle Bridges & Balmy Mountains (Ella)

Walk down to the majestic Nine Arch Bridge. Instead of rushing, find a cozy jungle cafe perched right above the tracks, order fresh king coconuts, and capture some gorgeous group photos as the morning train passes over the grand stone arches.
Treat yourselves to a long, blissful Ayurvedic full-body oil massage at a local boutique spa to melt away any remaining travel stress.
Take a very gentle, 40-minute walk up Little Adam's Peak to catch panoramic views of the mountain gap right as the sun dips below the horizon.

Day 04

Down to the Tropical Coast (Ella to Mirissa)

Sleep in and enjoy a late breakfast overlooking the green misty valleys. Check out and begin a smooth, scenic drive south as the mountains transform into rows of swaying coconut palms.
Arrive in the beach paradise of Mirissa. Check into a gorgeous beachfront resort and head straight to the pool or ocean for a refreshing swim.
Walk right onto the sand to find a candle-lit table directly by the water. Enjoy a late dinner of fresh grilled seafood with your toes in the sand.
Overnight: Mirissa.

Day 05

Whales, Waves & Palm Trees (Mirissa)

Morning (6:30 AM): Board your boat at the harbor for the Whale Watching Safari. Mirissa's deep oceanic drop-off makes it one of the absolute best spots globally to see magnificent Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, and pods of wild dolphins spinning alongside the boat.
Afternoon: You'll be back on land by noon. Spend a completely free, unhurried afternoon lounging under the iconic palms at the photogenic Coconut Tree Hill or reading a book under a beach umbrella.
Overnight: Mirissa.

Day 06

Galle Fort Gems & Capital Nightlife (Mirissa – Galle – Colombo)

Enjoy a final, slow tropical breakfast in Mirissa and pack your bags. Hop in your private van and drive 45 minutes up the beautiful coastal road to Galle Fort.
Spend a few hours browsing Galle's upscale designer boutiques. It's the absolute best place on the island for locally made linen wear, custom gemstone jewellery, handcrafted homeware, and artisanal gelato. Before you leave, walk up to the Galle Lighthouse on the ramparts for a gorgeous group photo against the ocean.
Check in at the Colombo hotel and dress up for your final night out together. Sip sunset cocktails at a chic rooftop venue followed by a celebration farewell dinner.

Day 07

Departure from Colombo

A pre-dawn pickup may be required for an early departure. For a very early flight, consider spending the final night closer to the airport.
